BETH'S STORY

My first 4 years within the marketing space were clean, high level B2B tech clients, global marketing strategies and endless power points. It was efficient. Efficient in a way that one can be when under the tether of fortune 500 legal teams. But quite frankly it was a bit robotic.

My camera roll on the other hand, told a different story.

While I was navigating the tech world by day, my weekends were spent in the humidity of local kitchens, the steam of street food stalls, and the early morning light of bakeries. I built a community of 20,000 food lovers

through my lens, and in doing so, I saw the beautiful mess of hospitality up close.

I saw incredible chefs who could balance flavours perfectly but struggled to balance an Instagram algorithm. I met street vendors making Michelin worthy meals and wine producers in the Valleys who felt invisible online.

So I had an idea.. Raised by Robots.

WHY 'RAISED BY ROBOTS'?

At 34, I am a true digital native. I belong to the first generation that grew up with the internet in our pockets and algorithms in our ears. In a very literal sense, I was raised by robots.

I felt the power of marketing before I even knew what the word meant. I remember the visceral devastation of not getting the must have toy for Christmas, not because it was the best toy, but because it had the biggest marketing budget and the loudest TV ads. I saw firsthand how clever systems could dictate our desires and decide who won and who lost.

That fascination led me on a path to teaching how to make things look the best, sound the best, in essence I became a part of the machine to make those moments of visceral devastation for others. But something felt wrong. While I was helping tech giants create campaigns to add more zeros to their millions, I was documenting local legends, struggling to be seen and feel heard because they didn’t have the cash flow or the backing of a corporate marketing department in their corner, and I wanted to make a change.

So in August 2025, I left my 9-5 head of marketing role to start Raised by Robots. My ethos was simple, to give the tools back to the makers. I’m taking my years of knowledge and translating it into human first, actionable strategies for the people who actually feed us.
